Instructors
Kim Harrell – holds a BFA degree from William and Mary College and has been teaching art since 1982. She is the owner of Art Studio on the Boulevard.
Ann Geraci – Originally an Interior Designer she holds a second degree in Art Education from Virginia Wesleyan College. A teacher and avid watercolorist she enjoys all painting mediums, pottery and mosaic work.
Lindsay Emery – a professional ceramics artist, she has been teaching pottery classes at Art Studio on the Boulevard for the past two years. She teaches both children and adults ranging from beginner to intermediate students. Her academic experience includes several years of studio courses in a variety of material. She was the recipient of an art scholarship while attending Longwood University for which she was recognized for her drawing and painting ability. She is currently completing her Fine Arts degree from Old Dominion University. Once she has completed her degree she hopes to continue doing exactly what she is doing now; making art and sharing her passion with others.
Margaret Angulo – She got her first camera circa 1976, a Kodak 110 Instamatic, and has been snapping away ever since, happily filling photo albums with shots both good and bad, learning along the way. With the realization that “a picture says 1,000 words,” but not necessarily which words, she began scrapbooking in 1980. Adding stories to photo albums answers not only the basic questions, but can document events, activities, and other news that don’t necessarily have a photo to go with the story. Some of those photo scrapbook albums are in pretty sad shape, however: they weren’t made for long-term preservation. Technology has caught up, and now the market is flooded with an overwhelming assortment of products. Over ten years ago, she began teaching creative memory keeping techniques, and helps others sort through their collections of photos, getting them out of shoeboxes and computers, so they can safely share those precious moments.
